Tourism

Tourism industry is a particularly competitive field and has been heavily hit since beginning of 2020.

If you work in the tourism sector– whether it be traditional tourism, sustainable tourism, wellbeing tourism, luxury tourism… or if you manage a cultural or artistic institution, or an enterprise in the private sector that makes up most part of its turnover thanks to tourists, you are most probably looking for new opportunities.

For many years now, the Internet revolution has entirely changed the tourism industry. Ever less travellers turn to travel agencies, and more and more tend to organize their trips on their own online, usually with the advice they find on websites and in travel guides. In this context, being present on the internet has become a priority. You need to have a pleasant, attractive website, with nice pictures and quality texts, this is a must in order to not only attract potential customers, but also hold their attention, so that they stay on your website and chose you and your company, rather than your competitors.

How to stand out from the competition? How to attract your target group(s) – either families for Summer or Winter holidays, young couples visiting for a long weekend, or people on business trips?

In order to increase the traffic on your Website and a reach foreign audience, you need to set up a multilingual Website, with high quality translations, and why not some blog posts on a recurring basis to attract newbies. Google translation may be of some help if you want to understand a text in a foreign language, but under no circumstances is it a viable option for a Website aimed at potential foreign customers.

Almost 80% of the French prepare their holidays with Internet, et more than 50% directly book online. Potential customers will not stay if the Website is not pleasant, if user navigation is awkward, if information cannot be easily found, and last but not least if texts are of very low quality or even incomprehensible. To be attractive and retain the reader’s attention, the content must be perfectly written in the reader’s language, so that they can imagine what it feels like to be on the spot and enjoy the place. This is the reason why they will experiment a strong desire to make their decision.
